Katrina & Brian’s Movie

Posted by: James Player on 23 Feb 09 | 4 Comments

I (James) have been actively working on Katrina and Brian’s wedding movie. It’s been a ton of fun but a great deal of work also.

Katrina and Brian chose to do an option that we offer called the Post Wedding Interview. Just as it sounds, this option gives the couple a chance to sit down with us after the wedding and discuss their special day in depth while in a relaxed environment.

After the “interview” is over we take all of the footage from the wedding day and the interview and combine it together into something that is 100% unique and by doing this it literally allows the couple to “tell their day” on screen.

While this option may certainly not be for everyone, if it is something you could see yourself doing we would highly recommend it, as it adds a completely different dimension to your wedding film.

We offer a Post wedding interview and also a pre-wedding interview as optional enhancement to all of our wedding film packages.

We hope you enjoy this segment from Brian and Katrina’s movie and know that it will show first hand just how much of an impact an interview like this can make on your movie.

BTW.. With the interview footage and all of the footage from the wedding day we have about 16 hours worth of content!! WHEEEHHHHH talk about a lot to go through!!

WHOOOOAAAHHH WHAT HAPPENED???

Posted by: jplayer on 19 Feb 09 | 0 Comments

You may have noticed a slight change to our blog lately.

Ok.. So maybe it’s not so slight!! LOL

If you go out to our websites you will see even further changes.

SO, WHATS GOING ON??

Over the past few months Marianna and I have been tossing around some ideas for some fairly drastic changes to our business.

One of those changes was a company name change for our wedding movie products.

As we have developed our unique style for the wedding movies that we create, we felt as if they had literally become an extension of us. The personal pride we place on each film is extremely important to us and we felt that our old business name in no way reflected that.

So our first order of business was to create a name and logo that showcased not only our high quality standards but also that personal tie we place on every one of the wedding movies we create for couples.

So from here on out all of our wedding movies that we create will be completed under the new name of “Player Wedding Films“.

With our new name, we hope that the personal pride and attention to detail that everyone receives with all of our wedding movie packages will be evident as soon as as they see the name of our company.

For those of you who have already booked us for a wedding movie this year or next year, you don’t need to worry about a thing.
This change will be 100% seamless for you.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH ABSOLUTE PRODUCTIONS AND MEDIA?

Over the past few years we have noticed that with video, just as with photography, many people have a stylistic preference. While our wedding movies are a huge success and desired by many we have also found that there is a large group of people that prefer to have a basic “as it happened” yet still high quality wedding video. This style is often referred to as “Documentary”.

While we love the movies that we create, we also want to be able to provide a quality video option for everyone no matter what style they desire or what their video budget may be.

So, moving forward, we will be offering documentary wedding video packages through Absolute Productions and Media.

Since the editing and filming associated with a documentary package is nowhere near as intense as a wedding movie, we are able to offer
these for much less than a Player Wedding Films wedding movie package.

Even though drastically different from a stylistic standpoint, one thing that we guarantee with our documentary packages is that the
quality of the video will be the same as with our wedding movies - extremely clear visuals and awesome audio.

THAT’S WHAT’S HAPPENING!!

We hope that all of the changes will allow us to better serve everyone who contacts us and also give us the option of providing a high quality video product to each and every couple no matter what their style preference or wedding video budget may be.

Please contact us if you have any questions or comments about any of the changes that have taken place!!

Erin & Brian’s Wedding Trailer

Posted by: James Player on 03 Feb 09 | 2 Comments

Erin Nicholson and Brian Canady were were married on January 17, 2009 at Asbury - St James United Methodist Church located on Rutledge Ave. in Charleston, SC.

Their awesome reception followed at the Doubletree in downtown Charleston. They had a fake departure around 9:00 where they left in a vintage Rolls Royce which was really cool, but that certainly wasn’t the end of the party. They rounded the block and came back to a fun filled party that was non stop until midnight.

Congratulations Erin and Brian!!

At Erin and Brian’s wedding we were happy to work alongside Richard and Brantley Freeman of All Dressed Up Photography and enjoyed every second of it. You can see some of their photos from Erin and Brian’s wedding by visiting their photography blog.

Since we are talking about Richard and Brantley, take a minute to check out their photographer promotional video we created for them a few months back.
